The first inaugural Cape to Cape MTB takes place in Western Australia’s Margaret River region from 22nd to 25th October, 2008. Set to an iconic backdrop of world-famous surf beaches, private farmlands, rocky outcrops and national forests, the Cape to Cape MTB is a four-day mountain bike journey covering roughly 175km of bush and beach tracks along the coastal ridge from Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse in Augusta to Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse in Yallingup. |

The beautiful alpine terrain of Livigno,
Italy played host to Oakley's successful women's only four
day MTB camp, where Niki was joined by fellow coaches Sari
Jörgensen and Karen Eller. Niki's tips and advice to
the group of aspiring mountain bikers helped the girls improve
their riding skills, while everyone including the coaches
had a great time. |

What better way to improve your skills than
an intense week of riding at Canada's legendary Whistler Bike
Park. Oakley week at the Camp of Champions attracted a town
packed full of aspiring young thrill seekers all keen to learn
new skills on their mountain bikes, skis and snowboards. As
a guest coach, Niki provided specialist one on one mountain
bike training and led group rides, with all kids benefiting
greatly from the unique eight day experience. |

Niki is thrilled to have placed in the top
ten at the grueling All-Mountain World Championships in Downieville,
California. Despite injury forcing a limited preparation,
Niki finished 9th in the testing two day discipline that combines
XC and DH times into the one event.
Niki capped off her successful weekend by
claiming the 2008 Pixie-Cross World Title! Pixie-cross racing
sees adults competing against each other on child-sized 16
inch bikes, much to the amusement of an enthusiastic crowd.
It's a fun race that adds even greater depth to this classic
bike festival. |

After a frustrating five months on the sidelines
Niki is thrilled to be back in the saddle again. Niki fractured
the fifth metatarsal bone in her left foot during a cross
training exercise last November. While the injury disrupted
her training schedule, she is now back on her bike and looking
forward to a rewarding 2008 season. |

Representing Fuel TV, Niki guest presented
the "Most Outstanding Sports Coverage" award at
the 2008, 6th Annual ASTRA Awards. Australia's pay TV awards
attracted a star studded 1000 strong crowd to the exclusive
event where the media industry celebrate their highest achievers. |
